Raspberry Vodka-Steeped Frozen Grapes

You know what's better than a snack with a cocktail? A boozy snack with a cocktail.

Honestly, if these were on the menu the night I had them, I might have passed on my bourbon and ginger and just asked for a rocks glass full of these bad boys.

Midway through that bourbon and ginger, the bartender nonchalantly placed a bowl of these in front of us as if they were just your standard bowl of mixed nuts. Once she told us what they were, the next thing I asked was, "are they boozy?"

Just trying to be responsible here, people.

These bad boys might look fancy, but they are basically a grown-up version of those vodka-soaked gummy bears you were tossing back at that house party in college.

Sure, they are boozy, but they aren't going to send you out the door standing on Wednesday and seeing both Sundays.

What makes them so wonderfully weird is that the grapes are frozen. The grapes have that same snap when you bite into them that all good grapes have, but the inside tastes like a tart, spiked slushie.

Yes please, I'll have nine or twelve more, thanks.

Anyone ready for cocktails? Once five o'clock rolls around I'm heading to my freezer.

Raspberry Vodka-Steeped Grapes

Ingredients
2 cups raspberry flavored vodka
2 cups grapes

Directions
Take the grapes off of the stems and place them in an air-tight container. Pour the vodka over the grapes until they are just covered. Seal the container (I used mason jars) and let them sit in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.

Remove the container from the refrigerator and drain the vodka using a colander. Seal the container again and place grapes in the freezer for at least 24 hours. When ready to serve, remove from freezer and serve immediately.
