single lady Thanksgiving

I was kind of dreading this Thanksgiving. No family time, full day of work, no vineyard tours, just a regular Thursday really. But when I stopped and thought about what the day is about, I decided that my day was pretty indicative of thankfulness. I have a job I enjoy, I have my health, I have a family that missed me (supposedly), and I have a gnome with whom I share a desk.Yeah, not so bad.

I hope everyone had a fun a restful day. There's a lot to be thankful for.

  1. Katie, that's no gnome, it's a Laaf! They 'live' in a village based in an amusement park only 10 miles from where I was born. I believe this one is called Lok. Just google 'people of laaf' for their full story. Nice to see you still have Dutch co-workers at your new job ;)

  2. Thijs! I've actually read his "adoption papers" (no joke). This one's name is Lure. I didn't want to go into too much detail in the post hence me calling him a gnome, but I'm so happy that you know what he is! I'm a huge fan
